Sociology of Development Policy Brief: “The Female Breadwinner Well-being ‘Penalty'”

A new Sociology of Development Policy Brief is out! Volume 8, Issue 3 (2023) is: “The Female Breadwinner Well-being ‘Penalty‘,” by Agnese Vitali (University of Trento, Italy) and Helen Kowalewska (University of Bath, UK).

Below is a message from our policy brief editor, Alaka M. Basu:

As usual, I welcome expressions of interest to contribute. While I am open to any ideas you have, your pitch should ideally include a reference to something you have published on the subject, so that we can assume a base level of peer reviewing of the material. There should also be some clear policy implications arising from the piece.

Thanks again,

  1. Congratulations Professor Basu and the Sociology community on this study. It is indeed a vital study for this century as the dynamics of the households have changed over the years.
As much as i would have liked to contribute to the study, i have not participated in any study on this subject. My recent study is on Graduate Artisans in Nigeria. I am open to any contributions i can help in facilitating in Anglo-Africa.
    Warm regards.
