2026: Alejandro Portes

At the Sociology of Development Section’s 11th Mini-Conference, Rethinking Development in a Post-Western World, Professor Alejandro Portes received our section’s Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the field. Professor Portes accepted the award and delivered the conference keynote, “The Sociology of Development in the Twenty-First Century: Some Reflections.”
