Dear Members

It’s an exciting time to be a development sociologist! Our section is growing in membership and visibility, thanks to the efforts and work of each of you.

To further increase the section’s visibility, open up possibilities for selling section merchandise, and get all of you involved, we are seeking original submissions for a Sociology of Development logo.

Requirements? Must be original submissions (not submitted or used elsewhere). The only limit is your imagination!

Preferences? Logos that can be set in color and grayscale are preferred

Who can submit? Open to all: Section members, their students, friends and family as well as students in art-related fields and graphic designers, among others

Due date? No later than May 2, 2018

How will winner be selected? By an online vote of the membership! In the spring edition of our newsletter, Sectors, we’ll feature the submissions. We’ll also have them available online, and in May will send a link to an online poll to vote for your favorite!

Recognition? The winner will receive $200 and be recognized at the Sociology of Development business meeting at the 2018 ASA
