2016 Annual Development Conference

2016 Annual Development Conference–October 6-8–Cornell University

Please join us in Ithaca, New York, for an extraordinary conference focusing exclusively on development sociology! There will be over 200 participants from around the world, including an excellent mix of scholars at all stages of their careers, presenting their wide-ranging research topics across 40 paper sessions and 4 keynote plenaries.  Even if you are not presenting, there will be multiple opportunities to engage with development practitioners as well as development academics, including at a dinner and dance on Friday with a post-dinner talk by Jonathan Glennie, a well-known writer and practitioner in International Development (https://www.theguardian.com/profile/jonathan-glennie).  The UC press will be present to launch our new Handbook of Development Sociology, and to promote the Sociology of Development journal.  We hope to see you there!!!  For more information, please check out the conference website here
